Hw much is too much when backing up a dvd? Is there a point where it isn't a good copy? I have sefveral that would go down to the 50% range. I would really appreciate the help.

it's really all in what you see. Everyone has different standards, I'm somewhat of a perfectionist with this stuff, so I find myself actually trying to find flaws in DVDs. If you're watching them on a 60" Hi-Def TV you're going to definitely notice more flaws than on a 27" standard TV. Shrink has quality enhancement options that help out a lot too, you'll just have to mess around and see what you like yourself.

Removing extras, menus, audio streams and subpictures really helps as well. Then again it is all a matter of what you want on your DVD. If you want to keep everything and have excellent quality then double layer copying would be the way to go.

Hi squizzle, congrats on addict! I know what you mean about looking at the quality. It's as if you can see the pixels going by while watching the thing.

thanx fasfrank!

Yeah, I'm very anal when it comes to video quality. Now I'm using Rebuilder and CCE and I look at every backup and say "Damn, that's good stuff there!"
