I have edited and created my own video using Pinnacle Studio 9.
When I selected "Make Movie" in Pinnacle, I opted to create an MPEG file instead of burning the video directly to DVD.
In the settings under the "Make MPEG File" tab there are several presets, such as VideoCD, SVCD Compatible etc.
I chose the "DVD Compatible" preset, which is specified as 720x576, 6000 kbits/sec.
Pinnacle sucessfully created the mpeg file.
But now I want to burn that mpeg file to a DVD disc so it can be played in stand alone DVD players.
I have got a DVD burner which came with Roxio burning software.
But being new to all this I am unsure how it works ?
I would have thought the fact I selected the mpeg file to be a "DVD compatible" mpeg file, then it should not be compressed or altered in anyway when burning to a DVD disc ?
Am I correct or will the mpeg file be further compressed or altered when burning to a DVD disc ?
If it is further compressed or altered then how do I go about burning the "DVD compatiable" mpeg file to a DVD disc without loosing quality ?
I have put the mpeg file created by Pinnacle on a CD (its 654Mb in size) which I will then need to copy onto my other PC which has the DVD burner.
The PC which contains the DVD burner has limited harddrive space, memory and processor power so I was unable to use Pinnacle on that PC.
Thats why I had to borrow a more powerful PC to edit the video using Pinnacle.
However, the more powerful PC does not have a DVD burner !
Help !
