I'm going to best buy in a couple of days and i was wondering if the +r verbs are worth my investment.
I heard on another forum that the +r's had questionable quality and wasnt comparable to the -r's, but my drive doesnt support -r's so +r's are my only option.

the +r's are just as good in my opinion.
in fact, alot of people prefer the +R

actually, i PERSONALLY only use the Verbatim MCC003 coded 8x dvd+R, as on my setup i booktype them all to dvd-rom, i have YET to run into any problems whatsoever as i also PERSONALLY feel dvd+r to be of a higher quality disc. (just personal preference, others will agree or disagree, that is just how i feel about them). these Verbs are terrific~ it would be a GOOD investment if you ask me. :)

even i , staunch adococate of my -R Verb's have tried a few +R and booktyped to DVD-Rom quite happily. When i run out of -R i guess i could mix and match with - and + Verb's. The thing is for me, i don't have issue with either, i'm just lucky :)

lmao, i'll have withdrawal symptoms if i can't get on afterdawn for a week. Plus my inbox will be swamped with bad media mails for things such as "it's not my media at fault" lol

Try going 6-7 weeks! That sucks!!
I'll only use the +8x verbs. The +4x's are the ones to watch out for.Unless someone reported cmags on the verbatim +8x data life plus and I missed it, LOL.

Yo creaky, I'm in the same boat. No trouble with either format for my personal players and dvd drives, but many of my friends and family have trouble with my dash backups. So after my last spindle of sony08D1's run out, only plus format media for me. The booktyping to dvd-rom are far superior on those other players.My backups are are being played on about 30 different stand alone players and pc drives,so the compatability issue is critical for me. I still have only 1 ps2 that wouldn't play either format from my benq's.

looks like after your discs are done, you will join me and mort81 in the dvd+r booktype boat~ :P i still use both formats regularly, but, i tend to stick MORESO w/ dvd+r now as that is what my verbatim dvd+r 8x are~:) MCC003 so far so good on my side~ :)

Hello, i just thought i would give my two cents worth. I have used the verbatim digital movie 4x +r , the verbatim 8x +r and the verbatim 16x +r all bought from Micro Center and Best Buy, all on sale for 19.99 for a 50pack. Flawless every single one of them :)Verbatim Media A++ in my expierience with them:)p.s all had the mcc code and made by mitsubishi.

i'm gonna start buying the +R then booktyping them, i get stuck in my ways with some things, but it makes better sense to go +R when my supplies run out
