Backed up DVD's play in PC but not in DVD player without jumping...

When I'm watching on my home theater setup every once in a while a movie will "hickup" and jump to a previous point in the film. I tried playing using PowerDVD on my PC and it didn't have any problems in the same spots.



Does anyone know what may be the problem? Would a cheaper/nicer DVD player solve the problem? Right now I've got an older Sony hand-me-down (DVP-S560D).
