Progressive Scan on RE4 and Metroid 2

hey guys, I have had problems running my backups of RE4 and Metroid2 on my qoob modded (1.3a) gamecube, after running fstfix on both of them I could load fine without a problem, now today I got a component cable and tried to run on my telly in 480p the games hung in exactly the same manner as before I fstfix'd them, when I switch back to ntsc they work fine but back to 480p they hang....any ideas?

I also have my laser pot at 170ohm.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
