I decided to try my hand at creating a menu with a moving background on DVDLab Pro - so after creating my video file, I ran it through TMPgenc Plus to encode it to m2v format, then added it to the assets bin in DVDLab Pro. I dragged it onto the root menu as the help file indicated, and it appeared onscreen as the menu background.
I then started creating text items to serve as clickable links to the main movie. So far, so good.
However - when I clicked on simulation mode, the video background just stayed on the first frame, and didn't play. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?
Ah, cool - thanks for the info. I did a quick compile and played the files through WinDVD to see if it worked - and yes, the motion background worked fine.
However, I now have a new problem.
I set up a text link that plays the movie when clicked, but it just doesn't work when I use a motion background. It's as if it's part of the background, and I have no idea how to solve it.
Set your motion background, then set all your links, buttons, and everything else, then render it again, as a motion menu.
This should make the links work.
