ok I recently got swap magic 3.6 with slide tool and mastered getting my ps2 backups to work.. now I have a question regarding the ps1 swap magic boot disc.. lets say you manage to copy final fantasy 7 and boot the first disc.. how do you manage the next two discs because when you finish disc 1 it will prompt you for disc 2 and I'm certain when you put a backup of disc 2 in it will not load...

any help would be appreciated.

you just carry on in the same way as if it was an original,
save the game at the end,then load the second disk up and so on

btw,you cannot use the swapmagis disks to boot ps1 games,you didnt mention what you was using to boot them

are you talking about the swapmagic 3.6 disk set?.cd and dvd?
if so,they are for ps2 only.
to boot ps1 games on a ps2 you need something like breaker pro

No the c.d disc is for c.d based ps2 games not ps1 games. Easy mistake to make

if i'm not mistaken, you need something like breaker pro to do backup ps1 games on a ps2.

on a side note. if you have one and you're still using the psX, you can make the pin stay in the 'down' position by using the spring coil. i opened my psx and hotglued the pin into position so i can close the lid. later when i played thru FF7, i got to the end of a cd, then opened the lid, popped in the next cd, and kept going. i have a device that allows me to play backups and imports also just one swap from an original disc to the backup/import, then i'm good to go. those old psx machines are cheap as dirt now. go get one and try it out just because XL told you to.

PS2 v7 39001 + 64MB MC
200GB Seagate oem
Retail HDA (HDL Fully Patched)
boot = Launchelf 3.4b
exploit = Codebreaker 8.1 method

I'm wondering...if I were to buy the Breaker Pro for my PS2 Slimline (with fliptop case already installed), would I need to install the spring that comes with the boot disc. I would only need to do this for the PSOne, correct?
