I have a movie that is kind of jerky or should I say is not smooth running. Can I make a copy that will not be jerky? Or is there a software that will smooth the stream out?

Trying a different brand of media definately can't hurt as Memorex is the worst you could use.

Not sure though if the movie is already jerky that you can do much with it, but your best shot would be to Use DVD Decrypter to rip it to your Hard Drive in File Mode. Then run the files through DVD Shrink making sure you use both quality setting and enhancments then burn at a very slow speed like x4 or less..

Cheers
