Nothing Happens!

I have installed pcsx, and evrything is configured well, but whenever I try and open a game, it just becomed black, and nothing happens, and adter a while it freezes. Right now, I have the 2 0.3 version, but before, I had the 2 0.8 and all it used to say is that the bios is NOT 0FOUND! With 2 .0.3, the bios is found, but when it opens, it satys black. Where should I go? What should I do? I went to RUN ELF, RUN CD, and nothing happens!! I really appreciate your reply!
