Dvd2one is the best way to get a dvd 9 to a single dvd-r. it's a three step process. first you rip the movie with dvd decrypter, the you run Dvd2one, and then burn right to disk. How much better can it get. And the best thing, it only takes about 2 hours for the whole process. Get while you can.

I agree. This program is great those just getting started in dvd copy. Encoding to me is the hardest part, and until I get it right I am glad this program is around. It is worth every penny. IMHO.

Seems to me that for discs that will fit onto one without re-encoding this might be a useful tool for newbies but you can just strip the streams with DVD decrypter and be left with exactly the same result.

If the movie needs reencoding then this program doesn't do it, it is using another method to compress the film. If you are happy with the loss of quality over reencoding methods then that's fine.

Hi malum, have you tried this program??. With respect I suggest you should. I have, and I am very impressed. I have been down the dvd9 to dvd5 route, successfully splitting over two discs. I have tried re-encoding with ReMPEG2 and IFOedit 95 etc, to one disc, again with good results apart from the time involved. I have tried most of the Guides out there, and most of the programs. This download runs to 92.0kb, and after stripping ALIENS, file mode (make sure under settings you disable multi angle processing), file size was 5.99gb. Process time was 20min 28secs, using AMD 1800, 1gb Ram. Ended up with a file size of 4.36gb, burnt to 4x Datawrite DVD-R media, using GEAR Pro 6.02 Mastering Edition & Sony external dru-500. Works perfectly. I have compared the copy with the original on a new 36? Toshiba widescreen, and was hard pressed to see the ?loss of quality? you alluded to. Granted ALIENS is not top-notch image quality, but it is a dark movie with plenty of motion, and that is why I selected it.

Haweye : I appreciate your enthusiasm for the software, but please keep your email address out of the forums, especially if you are offering (unless I am mistaken) copyrighted software.

Yep I've tried it, your respect is nice though :-)

I'm a perfectionist and it doesn't come close to perfect.
I tried it on Minority Report and I gave my view in the main thread.
Not saying that this doesn't have it's place, but it's place isn't with me.
