Does PSP play anything other than Mp3's?

I have many cd's with good songs and I was wondering if I could put that on my PSP. I've tried it (I have iTunes) by importing the song to my library and then putting it in the music folder of my PSP. I can only play mp3s and I was wondering if the PSP can play wav's (CDs). They show up as Mpeg-4.

With psp mediacenter you can play .ogg, .xm, .mod and .ahx.
