Smartripper is pointles if you want to go from DVD to DivX or Xvid right????? Ripping with smartripper is only useful if uwant to get s/vcds i believe. I say this because I used DVDx 2.0 and encoded directly from the dvd disc. And since DVDx 2.0 is so easy to control, and the quality seemed no different than if u smartripped..is it not true that smartripper is pointless if u want to make avis from a dvd??? any feedback is appreciated.

You can rip a movie with SmartRipper and then use DVD2AVI to make it into .avi
