I guess I will be the first here to say something about this...
yet another horrible cowardly attack on innocent people today.... I'm hoping that none of aD members or their family and friends were harmed in these attacks.
That's about it, such a tragic event just leaves you speechless.

thought it was a bit weird when you consider london yesterday won the bid for 2012 olympic games

Word going round is that it's either to do with London winning the bid for the 2012 Olympics or because England is involved in the G8 summitt or it could be both.
I'm from England and live about an hour away from London. One of my cousins missed the bus that got blew up by one of the suicide bombers. Damn lucky.

my friend (and nextdoor neighbour) works at one of the stations that was bombed. because of the telephone and mobile networks being closed down i will not know until she arrives home this evening whether she is ok. luckily for me my daughter works nights and arrived home just before the news was realised. evidently bin ladens lot have put a statement on the web claiming responsibility(bastards)

As they can't use aeroplanes anymore they use public transport. First there was Madrid last year and now London.

That?s all we need if this has something to do with the G8, I always thought that England?s chances of getting bombed were very low but obviously not, I just hope we don?t get nothing up here with the G8 being in Scotland and all.

Yeah but Scotland's never, and now thanks to the English governments decisions to go to war my country & England are at risk if it's anything to do with Iraq.

yes the timing of the 2 events is deliberate. although the bombs appear to be quite small. ie not designed so much to take life on a huge scale but more so to shut down the capital. much more affective. i could be wrong of course

But thats the odd thing when have Usama bin Laden's lot (if it really was them) ever designed bombs NOT to take life on a huge scale? Unless this is a two part plan.

Bin Laden said in an interview that 9/11 went better than was planned. No where is safe now.

Scary and sad stuff man, all schools were told to not let students out if another 1 went off (where's the logic in keeping them ONLY if another went of?).I know cos' I was listening to the radio at the time and a few minutes later I SAW a memo (not recieved) cocnfirming what I had read, luckily another didn't go off and I heard one was found/ difused at Wembley Park, is that true ?
So if wembley park's station DID blow up I think the students might have been able to see it from the school

I live in the west midlands, so was pretty far from this atrocity today. it was scary tho, thinking whats gonna happen next?
My friends' son works in London & uses the tube all the time. we havent heard off him yet, due to the phones being down.
id like to see all London-based Ad'ers check in here if they can, just to know theyre all ok..

A work colleagues son was 100yds away from the bus when it blew up, he & his friends, instinctively dived, but then he looked up & got some shrapnel damage. He's OK.
There are a lot of people who will not be going home due to someones' selfishness & lack of compassion. What happened is beyond belief & words.
My thoughts are with all the friends & families of the souls caught up in this appalling event.
love to all

i live in the other end of the country (SCOTLAND) and heard Tony Blair on the news today saying that the attacks were ment to co-responde with the G8 summit, but if that is true, Bin Laden must be turning totaly stupid (not that he wasn't already) on the dust from the cave he is living in, cos the G8 is in Edinburgh (however u spell it) not in London, so why attack London and not Edinburgh, f*cking moron he is (Bin Laden)
my thoughts are also with the friends and families of the victims, IF i prayed i would pray 4 them.
