Plexwriter Premium not reading DVD-ROM

Hi, I just recently installed my Plexwriter Premium CD-RW/DVD-ROM but when I try to play a dvd movie, it says that there is no disc in the drive. It recognized a blank cd-r though. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!
