i dont know if im in the right section or not but here goes....im trying to join to avi files together..ive been told this is the best programme to use...ive tried to do it but im getting an error message " cannot append segment the audio streams have different sampling rates ( 28326.00000 vs. 28415.00000) can anyone help??

Yes both files need to be the same in VD to join them. So you are going to have to encode them both first using the same settings for each. You can also do that in VD :-)

In other words both files need to have the same audio and video setting for it to work.

i normally use a little proggie called AVI decompressor. i decompress the two .AVI movies then use vd to join them.
