When I burn a dvd sometimes it skips or freezes up in my dvd player. Is this the best software out there. And when I use dvd rescue sometimes it freezes up is there a fix for this?
Thank You

Mike - someone will help you but you should say what media you are using and what speed you are burning at. This really isn't a site that caters to 321 products but someone will direct you to it and give you good feedback and suggestions you should try. Bad or inferior media added to a too high a burn speed could be the simple solution. Been there - done that like a lot of us.

For Xcopy questions and answers try the Xcopy Forum.

And you are probably burning to fast, or your burner may not like your media. If you can slow it down to 4x, and use quality media i.e. Verbatim, Sony, Maxell, or Fuji. Try to stay away from store brands such as Staples or CompUSA.

Unfortunately DVD X Copy doesn't allow you to adjust your burn speed, it just burns as fast as it can. That's one of the disadvantages of it.

Can't you adjust your burn speed by going into your devices clicking on properties and changing your burn settings or doesn't that affect the burn actually.I for one would like to know if that works or does XCopy overide the settings to burn maximum speed or what.Just Curious

X-copy works for me just fine. It will only burn @4x. You need to use decent media.

As with all burning software.

I use Traxdata +RW to great effect.
