When I try to play a DVD using WinDVD 4 or media player or any player the DVD will not play correctly. In WinDVD 4 the screen appears totally pink but I still get sound and in media player the picture is blotchy but also has sound. Any suggestions for solving this problem???!!!

Pretty likely the codecs are not right. I've never been a fan of Windvd, there are a couple of good media players here on the software tab, have a look, some are free.
