OK guys, very sorry if this has been posted before.
I am trying to make a DVD for my father who is 69 years old and got his first DVD a few months back. To make problems worse, I just got my DVD burner 6 months ago, along with a home unit. I will try and make this short.
1. What I wanted to do: Capture several Real Player video clips and comvert them to play on my dads home DVD unit.
A. I was able to captue the Real Player clips with RM recorder 10.
B. I was able to convert the clips using winavi in batch mode.
c. I was able to burn these files using Nero.
Problem: The DVD plays the clips in any sequence it wants lol. Now, I can use the info button on "my" home DVD unit and select what title and what chapter I want to play no problem. The problem lies in that my father is very old, and just about blind, and may not even have the ability to select what title and what chapter he wants to play, as it is a cheap DVD and I do not know what options "all" of the DVD's have, and he is very hard to get through to. He wants to just be able to push his play button.
Now The Question 1: Am I making an error, should the DVD be able to be inserted and play the DVD in sequence from the first title recorded to the last title recorded?
Question 2: Is there a way for me to record the Real Player video, convert it (I used the batch file method as I thought that would work), and burn it so all he has to do is push his DVD play button to view all the video clips, with out having to mess with the title and chapter buttons (if he even has those on his cheap unit??)
Thanks for any help guys. I have been working trying to get this to work on and off for about a week now, and I seem to have it done, but I must be missing a step, as it would seem the DVD should play from beginning to end--as it stands, it starts where it wants, and does not play all the titles and chapters??
This looks like a great site BTW, which is why I am posting my question here--Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.
