ATIP: 97m 31s 07f
Maxell XL 650MB / 74min
Disc Manufacturer: Ritek Co.
Reflective layer: Dye (Short strategy; e.g. Phthalocyanine)
Media type: CD-Recordable
Recording Speeds: min. unknown - max. unknown
nominal Capacity: 656.69MB (74m 45s 00f / LBA: 336225)
Previously Maxell's made by Maxell were giving some problems. Recently they have turned for RITEK in their production, which naturally is a turn for the better. Typically sold in "semi-slim" cases (slimmer than normal, but more than 1/2 of the thickness)

I have 700M Maxell cd's that have no real markings as to which product line they are. I go to maxell's site and they have several different types of media. The ones I recently bought do not seem to fit in anywhere. Do you think they are using ritek for all of there products?

My experiences with those Ritek Maxell 74's are that they're very good, just like any other Ritek Phtalocyanine media I've come across.
freaksta: Download CD-R Identifier and see for yourself. It should be available at the software section in cd-rw.org if I'm not mistaken.

I tried it here at work and it wouldn't identify any disk I had. I will try at home also. Seems like that tool is outdated or doesn't work on win2k or my hardware here at work

CD-R Identifier requires up to date ASPI to be installed. Works fine here with W2K. However, some people have probs with CDR-Id, and I usually recommend Feurio! as an alternative. Great burning app with a good CD-R identification features.

So far I have only bought MPO as "Roline" - bulk stuff in spindles. I bought them in Finland from TrioSoft in the city of Tampere. The spindle I bought was very good.
