When installing the first piece (a) in the front, is it supossed to be taped down?
It had a little piece of tape on the bottom of it but it does not stick too good.
Does the switch that this piece push down on have to stay pushed when swapping the disks?

With the lid closed it reads the SMD 3.6 and goes to the load screen when I open the lid and put in the back up it keeps saying (not a vailid ps2 disk)in blue letters under where it says mode:normal.

I have a slim pstwo.
Burned game twice onto verbatim dvd+r useing nero once and dvd decrypter once.
I have a Lite-on DVDRW LDW 851S burner.

Installing A is the easiest one dude..just push it all the way in. and if when you take out the swap magic disc does it say refresh TOC, if so then you didnt install tool C right, and therefore it says PS2 disc not valid.

It doesnt say refresh TOC.
When I get to the load screen, I swap disks to my back up and press X.
It starts trying to read the disk but after about 10 seconds is when it gives the (not a valid ps2 disc).
The SMD 3.6 CD works great with CD games so the magic switch pro must be installed right.
Was just wandering about Piece (a) because it dont seem to stick down very well.

Does anyone else use this type of dvd burner?
Im thinking that it might be my problem or my ps2 just dont like Verbatum DVD+R or Memorex DVD-R.
