Here is my problem I bought USB extreme formatted everything properly and installed a couple of games and guesss what ? NONE work ! for instance DISGAEA just sstays at the now loading screen when you 1st boot I tried this gamed well over 5 times and left for about 10 mins each time. I am using the offical SONY HDD that comes with the FFXI with an enclosure also I tried one of my PC's hard drives and it did the same thing. Evry game it try just satys at the 1st loading screen forever out of the 10+ games I try. Anyone know if their is a compatablity list of the games that work on it ? Or a compatablity list with the HDD's that work with it ?And does anyone have the same problem ?

Also my slim PS2 with swap magic 3.3 with the slim tool always says not a valid ps2 disc and im using fujifilm blanks it used to play the PS2 media player but after 2 uses it stopped reading the burnt disc but I know notting is wrong with the SLIM I am also using the USB extreme with the SLIM.Please help and thanks for any reply.

Hopefully this helps most of what's happening.

USBeXtreme's website can answer some of your questions
http://www.hdadvance.com/index.htm

Here's another link for HDD compatibility
http://www.ps2hd.com/forums/archive/index.php/t-1486.html

And here's one for games
http://www.ps2hd.com/forums/archive/index.php/t-1487.html
(there's another link in the third line of text you may want to check out as well)

As far as games freezing, it could be because you haven't selected the right mode(s) (or you haven't selected any at all), but the games link has info on it about that.

Dude I heard you the first time lol. Have you cleaned your PS2 laser? That might help. I'm not sure how good Fujifilm blanks are, but it wouldn't hurt to buy Ritek, Taiyo Yuden, or Verbatim (my favorite!) media.

EDIT: About Verbatim, be sure to get Verbatim DataLifePlus if you plan on purchasing any.
