Why are all my widescreen movies scwushed when I watch them on my home DVD player?

what da hell is scwushed?? lol do u mean squashed then you will have to convert the movie again and change the video aspect range to make the screen bigger here is a guide http://www.dvdrhelp.com/tmpgenc.htm
