Hello everyone,

Just have a few questions I hope someone can help me out with. I am a noob to xbox mods but am experienced with DVD ripping and PS2 backups. I started a software mod on my xbox using the 007 evox game save methode. The game save is on my xbox and I can load up the evox and ftp into my xbox. This all worked fine except I never got to the point of flashing my TSOP with a new bios. Of course being inexperienced I had to fool around with the evox options and selected the unlock HDD just to see what it would do. OOOOPS....that was a mistake because my xbox won't boot up from CD or HDD and I only get a error screen with the #05 error. Does anyone know if I can fix this without installing a mod chip?? I tried booting up without the HDD plugged in but of course I just recieved the other error code that tells me the HDD is not hooked up. Please someone help me out as I have no usable XBOX at the moment.

P.S. I have a Xenium S.P. ICE mod kit on order but it won't arrive for another 5 days. When this is installed will the xbox automatically boot from this chip and allow me to re-lock my HDD? Is this my only option to fix my xbox?

I feel for ya buddy, did the exact same thing and me and dad have tried every trick known to man, even copying an image of the drive in WinHEX. You're gonna need new hardware probably, because dad and I have spent all of two nites trying to find the hdd lock code. We're finally considering ordering a new motherboard/hdd combo and a modchip (Xenium Ice - solderless). Sorry for the bad knews but hey, you're not alone lol!

First of all, whoever hosts the exploit files needs to remove that option from evox lmao, easy to do. Dont throw your hardware away, its still usable. Your chip should be able to boot it just fine, otherwise come back here and I'll help ya out.

Hey tgienger,

I'm getting the Xenium S.P.ICE... that one doesnt have a hard switch... will I still be able to boot??? Keep in mind I cant get to my old bios now cuz my drive is unlocked
