This is gonna sound stupid probably to some of you but forgive me, I didn't know any better at the time. Anyways, a couple years ago I bought this home theater system. About a year later, I bought this really nice flat screen hdtv to kinda complete the whole setup. I was excited to watch tv in hdtv but I knew I couldn't do that for a while cuz you have to pay for the whole box, and montly subscription and all that crap, so I knew at least I could still watch movies in hd. Come to find out I couldn't. I didn't realize that you have to have a dvd player with progressive scan in order to watch movies in hd. Here's my question...I'm thinkin bout getting a new dvd player w/progressive scan. Because I have a home theater system, all the wires from the speakers are connected to the back of the dvd player. Would I be able to get a new dvd player that's the same brand as my current one, and be able to hook it up to all the speakers? Or would I have to get a whole new home theater system?
