Screenshot from a dvd?

There is a certain picture that I want from a dvd. Is there a way to rip the dvd then like pause it at that point and take a screenshot of the dvd?

I have Intervideo WinDVD 6 and I can take screenshots from any DVD. I have made screensavers with stills from my favorite movies. The program costs money,but maybe you could download a trial.

The dvd player I use lets me take a snapshot at anytime and save the picture. I am running Roxio DVDMax Player 2.0. Depending on what player you are running now you may be able to easily take a snapshot.

If you are unable to get hold of Intervideo WinDVD, you can download a demo version of DVDRemake from dimadsoft dot com. I am not sure how functional the demo is but i would imagine that you should be able to capture a screenshot easily (I have been doing it with my DRMPro which is just a mind blowing tool considering what you can do with it). What it does - it displays contents of the DVD that you are working with by chapters and you can easily navigate to the frame that you are keen on. Just on the same note - there is DVDRebulder which is of the same kind as DVDRemake. I have not personally used it but i would assume that it shuld allow you to scroll through frames too. Either way I would go the DVDRemake way demo version.
