Ah, the infamous Tool C... I had the slim switch with the big flat Tool C that didn't allow the lid to close...Couldn't install it...

Just recieved the new slim kit pro with the newer Tool C design...Tried to install it. For some reason it won't snap down. I've inserted it with the tab on top facing to the right, and it goes down about half way and stops. Everyone else who has problems with this tool seems to at least be able to get the damn thing into place!

I have a PStwo v11, so I don't have the new anti mod metal plate in there.
Does anybody know any tips I should know on installing this, or a place online that I can find out? I've already downloaded the .pdf file from the website I bought it from (www.modchip.com, or www.mod-chip.com{can't remember exactly})

Well I solved my own problem, and for archiving purposes, I'll tell you what I did. (it might not be the best idea)

I couldn't fit the stupid Tool C into the side of the hinge, and after much inspection, I discovered the reason. The little piece of metal that's in there takes up less than a millimeter of the hole, but it's enough to cause problems fitting the tool. (the metal piece is actually shown in the instruction manual telling you how to install it, so it's not a Sony afterthought)

Anyway, I got supremely frustrated and I pushed as hard as I could on the stupid piece, and it slowly started its decent. I also pried it down by closing the lid on it. Going back and forth between these two methods finally got it into place, although Tool C now looks like a dog got at it. At any rate, it works. I can swap discs, keep the lid open, etc. The nightmare is over.
