i finaly got my boot cd going and i put it in and rebooted.
everything goes fine but then it asked me where i want to install the windows.no where do i see where it says fresh install, and thats what i want.if i would just continue going it would install it but it wont delete my pre-existing systems.if nothing can be done, how do i switch back to the old one after the computer starts to get to the screen where it says choose which to load up.
if anyone knows what im talking about............

why did you post this in the PS2 forum?? what version of windows do you have? are you inserting the windows disk while windows is running, or are you booting to the disk?

insert the windows disk, and restart your computer. when prompted, press anykey to boot from CD. a blue screen comes up and windows setup loads. follow the few steps, and select new installation (not repair). now when asked what drive to install to, delete the C drive partition. this will erase all data on the drive. then windows will format the C drive and install a fresh version of windows

there should also have been an option to delete partition. you should do that first and then it will definitely install with no problems... unless your hardware is stupid.
