Ok, the theory is this.
Take an origional game(demo disk preferably) stick it in a modified ps2,
the with that utility program read the BCA( this is why we need the modified ps2)
Now we have the BCA ( is this the same as the disk id, the one that the utility reads for those DNAS things?)
Now we take the iso of the swap magic disk and modify it to match the BCA. Now we burn the disk with this modifed iso!
then we take our burned disk and carefully cut out the centre ring which contains the BCA, we then glue the modified disk to the front
of the origional disk, so now the centre of the disk has the PROPER BCA, and the data part is our modified ISO of swap magic!
then we stick it in the ps2 and see what happens??
Hmmm??
Ok, of course its gonna be hard to actually do this, cuting and sticking two disks together and not damaging them, but in theory
are there any flaws???

So, correct me if i'm wrong, but... are you suggesting we (fysically) glue two disks together? You must be stark raving mad! seriously, that kind of thing would never work... it would never read the glued on part, difference in height, sudden edge sticking out, disk imbalance, etc. the disk would probably break, shredding your ps2's internal parts in the process, but hey, if your willing to try it, be my guest...

well in theory yes, the burn disk has the inner ring cut out, and then is stuck to the origional disk!
well im gonna try physically doing this, see if i can still read my disk afterwards, got some old ps2 that hardly works, and old pc drives!
but if it does work, then you only need it as a boot disk!
this is because in bloody south africa, your more likely to find a leprachaun than a proper swap magic disk!

Im irish and i find that lepercaun comment offensive :P, haha no but seriously, in theroy i believe it would work, but id save yourself the hassle of failure. Take a look at a swap magic cd, You would have to cut perfectly circular rings into the disk, and they would have to be so accurate that i dont think a human could preform the task. you'd be better off trying to find that lepercaun, you get a wish when you do,and then wish for a SwapMagic cd.
Or mail order it like Daniel said, what do i care.. :)

had any luck with it? i reckon the difference in 'height' is gonna cause you a problem or two! ps2 lazers are stupidly sensitive, listen to what happens when you play a cd-r game! the changes in height are likely to be an issue, aswell as the edge of the disc that you're going to stick on. surely the lazers gonna be bouncing all over the place?
good luck with it though! :o)

Like i said, the height difference will make the laser go nuts, and the disc will be highly unstable because of the glued on part, it will (probably)start wobbling from side to side at certain speeds, and might start grinding, resulting is a broken disc, plastic splinters flying through your ps2, etc. etc. etc.

Hey if it works tell us.That would be pimp but you think about it if you did it right it would work. That shit would be sweet but if you could do that you would be able to do it to real games right.

Hmm sounds hard, some tech-guy should just build a cheap burner that copies the DNAS...

Hi bmansss
You're giving South Africa a bad name. I'm from SA and regulary import Swap Magic disk and can hook you up (+ my mark up) with one if you are in Cape Town. Just received 4No today (3No for Slim and 1No pre-slim). Took 7Days to get here.
OR JUST GO ONLINE
(PS Don't cut your fingers trying to make a disk it might just cost you more ;) )
