Okay, I agree with Colton,none of this time traveling crap makes any sense. But I do have an idea. Hear me out, slip space might be a time portal. Because from what i know you have to go through slipspace to get to Halo`s. Another thing, if the ride Truth`s on is the Ark,why would he be going to Earth if the ark is in his fingers? No sense there either.

I've already read all of the Halo books and are awaiting the next installments. Im not saying ur theory is wrong im saying that time travel is a sucky story plot.
It gets to complicated at one point and then your laying on the floor haveing a massive seisure. lol
Ur second theory sounds better with the advanced civilization.

Like I sid the Ark is probably headed to Earth for either the Control room or the Index. Whatever the Ark is must need one of the two that I just put.
Or as I typed on one of the preivious pages:
Some how the Forerunners teleported MC from some point in the Future to the Halo that fired 101,000 years ago. They asked him to retrieve the index and activate the rings. As he did this Cortana went into his mind and nurished it back to health. Over time his body was somehow mutated by a flood cell and he became the Gravemind.
Dont ask, I just dont know why if this is true, Bungie would put this in the game.

i kno i might be getting a lil annoying by asking these questions but does any 1 acutally kno any real pecs on the xbox 2 cuzz wat im thinking is if the graphics are better then halo 3 will cum a lot quicker because i kno this dude and he said they worked the the graphis really hard so thats why it did take them a long time to make so if it has better graphics then all they need to do is make the game and maybe that is why halo 3 will cum indeed a lot quiker so if any 1 has any specs plzz tell me.

This is so sad,for me anyway, my parents wont let me get Xbox Live. Does anyone have anything I should say to my parents to encourage them to let me get it? Please help me out

Whats up Im back
there might be a strong chance that the rings did come from the furure in my view but thats just my opinion if Im lucky Im right. I found alot of major clues in the middle of one of the halo books that suggest they might have come from us. All though we dont have the technology now we will then. And this will also answer why the rings atmosphere is the same as earths. Not only that but the buildings on it that look like those of earth such as aztec ruins. but if my opinion does turn out to be true Im going to look back on this and laugh. But I cant help but wonder about the origins of the flood.

hey guys i know this is off topic but i have beat halo on easy normal and heroic and i still don't have foundation. also my friend said that you can unlock a chicago level if you beat the game on legendary. he has the level but anyways all you have to do is beat the last level on legendary. when you go to campaign go to select level go to the very last level on the list then change the dificulty to legendary and you should get the level. that is what my friend said i havn't seen the level yet. so back to my problem can anybody else tell me how to get foundation.

Time travel isnt possible in this case.
If MC was teliported back to the Halos and got the index and activated them, thus becoming Gravemind, how did the original forerunners die? Bc of Mc activating the halos? NO bc if they had to die by Mc activating the halos they would die many many years b4 they could even have the chance to get to Mc to teliport him back to the Halos. This show that MC couldnt have activated the halos to kill the forerunners. its a time space contineum thing. Just think ab it long enough and itll make sense.

Right this is for everyone that is so stupid they cant use google to find the answer.
To unlock the hidden Foundation level in Halo 2 multi-player by completing the single player campaign on any difficulty. Due to a serious glitch in the game (and one that will not be corrected), you will need to do the following to unlock the Foundation map for a specific profile:
1. Start a co-op game with a profile with access to the last episode (The Great Journey) and a completely fresh profile (i.e., one that has not even started the campaign game).
2. Fight to through the last episode until the players need to board Banshees to progress.
3. Have the new profile player perform a barrel roll (both directions) and a Loop-the-loop (stick down and A button).
4. Complete the game as usual and the new profile will have access to the Foundation Map. Since profiles may be renamed, you can delete your old profile and rename your new profile w/ the new map.

Discovery time
Ive been doing my research and I found that halo takes place in the year 2552. 343 Guilty spark was left in charge 101217 years ago. So that would mean the forrunners were still alive then. What I also figured out was that 101217 years ago when Spark was left in charge it was the year 98665 b.c. here on earth. From what Ive been able to gather during that time humans were here living on earth. So that would mean both humans and forrunners were alive during this time. So if earth has something to do with the halos activation wouldnt the human race be wiped out along with the forrunners. And Im not too sure but Iva also gathered info that the pyramids were built around 2900 b.c.
Dont go anywhere theres more folks
This is why I also believe the rings were activated in the future by us and sent to the past so we one day would find them and use them against the covenant to finally win the war. Since there was no hope for us in the future do to massive flood outbreaks and the war against the covenant we sent the rings to the past in hopes we could change the outcome of the future and dont suffer the same fate as our decendents. The forrunners also sent a couple of clue into the past and artifacts fo us to use such as one found on Reach.

There isnt. Although the Foundation Multiplayer map is set in a enclosed concrete bunker set in Chicago, maybe this is what he is referring to.

See but if the humans did create it in the future then sent it in the past and then in the past the humans used it to destroy the covie there would be no point for the original humans that built the halos to send the halos into the past to kill the covie. Once again confusing but just think. Itll make sense...sooner or l8r.

I admit now its gatting confusing but I get what your saying. Thats what I think the forrunners were planing on to change and re-write history. I dont know how they sent the rings but I do thing that maybe there was no more hope for the human race do to flood infections and the covenant. If they did come from the future then I do believe that the prophet council might know the truth about the halos and that they are aware they came from us. They intend on using them for their so called "great journey". Thats why the elites, hunters, and grunts have defected from the covenant because they were lied to.
I need a break, Ive been thinking too hard on this
Do any of you guys think that gravemind will find his way to earth. If all of you remember at the end of halo 2 gravemind and the flood have taken over the covenant holy city High charity and have cortana at their possesion so theres a chance they may try to kill off humanity.

i don't know the flood might come back to wipe out the human race. about the maps for multiplayer there are three you can unlock i am getting this from the internet and several friends have the levels.
Unlock Levels You can unlock the foundation MP map by finishing campaign mode on easy. there are also two othermaps to unlock: Marathon and Conclusion. Try finishing harder campaign modes to unlock these levels.

My friend said he got and the game said he unlocked it but it didn't give it to him so i don't know.

Now that I think about it ur theroy does seem right. I mean look at what we as a race resourt to today. Nuclear Weapons. I think that the humans were in a hopeless fighgt and created th flood. Maybe the Halos themselves have timetrvel capabiliteis?
