i fixed mine without this guide, :D
if you want to know how i guess i can make a vid or tutorial or something, took me like 5, 10 minutes?
thanks for the help though.
btw i read through the whole thread a couple times. the author of this thread kept asking ppl to read the guide, thats a good idea, but thats all i saw from him save for a couple of replies. It s ok to tell ppl once in a while what to do, just so when ppl are browsing they can come past it. If you dont help too much its hard for ppl to come across the answer even though it might be in the guide. ^^
thank you again. good luck everyone
Alan

Everything you need to know is in the guide. Plus I added a trouble shooting section. What else can be done? If you have an easier or better way of doing things then feel free to make your own guide and ask for it to be stickied.

OK, this might sound dumb and like a noob question, but just to clarify...Can I use this guide to downgrade any Slim psp with any firmware and use my 1.50 fat custom psp to create Pandora and Magic stick?

no, slim can not get to 1.50. But using this app you can go to a custom firmware without getting into 1.50

Yeah, I think I am having trouble understanding that...cuz I want a custome firmware to run emulators on a slim and I don't know what firmware does it need to be on other then 1.50.

quick question, how would i know if my PSP battery is already pandorized or not because i bought this psp from the internet. it has 3.90 M33-3 custom firmware, when i first bought it, the system was at 1.50v. so is the battery already pandorized?

Just because it is at 1.5 doesn't mean the battery is pandorized.
More then likely it is not.
Take the Battery out of the PSP and then insert it (Make sure the AC Adapter is not plugged into the PSP). If the power light comes on then it is in service mode (pandorized). If it doesn't come on and you can turn the PSP on and boot to XMB then it is not pandorized.
To update to latest custom firmware go HERE and follow this guide. Start of at "1.50 users start here..."

any slim under 3.95 should be safe. there's a new version of the ta-088 that has a new cpu blocking out unofficial ipl.
ps2: v7 scph-39001 - independence exploit - hdloader 0.8c - maxtor 300gb hdd
(+[__]%) psp slim ta-085v1: 6.60 PRO B10
wii (powered by bootmii/priiloader): 4.1u - d2x v10beta53-alt (base 56) - configurable usb loader v70r51/devolution r188 - wd scorpio black 7200rpm 320gig w/ ams venus ds2 enclosure
got a whole lot more to list . . .

Greetings;
Ok here's the deal..... first off I am a very n00b (i hope I get this right) to this whole firmware phenom... I will try to explain as much as I possibly could. I have an older PSP (i think it's a "fat" one) It's running on an update 4.02 I have a sandisk 4gb magic gate memory stick. I've tried the guide, meaning i've dl the full file (not the one broken into parts) I thought I followed the directions to a tee. I also purchased a tool battery converter from Datel (the ad said it could convert your regular battery to a tool battery and then back again) when I tried to use this "tooled" battery all I get is the green light on the PSP nothing on the screen. When I use the regualr battery I see something on my Mem Stk but nothing that say OS, only 1.50 Kernel Addon for 3.80 M33 3.71 Update ver 1.50 another Kernel addon 4.01, a Kernel for 3.90 v2 and MUX update 2.0 by KSBO. Bottom line I dont know what the %$#!& I'm doing any suggestion will be greatly appreciated!

Hi,
I have a brick fat psp and i had gone thru larry's guide in making the pandora's and mms. After I have completed the steps thoroughly I put in the mms and the pandora battery into the bricked psp and the green light on the right turn on as well as the 2 lights on the left side (green and orange) but nothing flashed it just stayed on and the screen is blank. If anymore can help me with this problem that would be awesome!!!
Thank you

Hey Tianyu, do u remember what version the bricked psp was?
its possible that the battery was not Pandorized correctly....Try to reverse Pandora back to its original and redo it all.
Pandora is suppose to work on any brick psp...

Hi Jmobile,
I believe that the brick psp is on it's original firmware before it got brick. how would i go about returning the pandora's back to it's original state??
