Well if you hav the older bulkier version of the ps2, you will use the slide card with swap magic. If you have the flip top you will use the other guide i gave you. And it can play DVD+R but i wouldnt burn at 16x for PS2 games burn at 1x or 2x. :)

Here is the slide tool demo: http://www.swapmagic3.com/slidetool-demo.zip

Burning at high speeds will always lead to read errors, burning games over x4 is overkill most of the time, why, well because the Ps2 laser can only read a certain rate and going over that rate means the Ps2 can't read the data on the disk, it's hard to explain it because am not totally sure of all the tech details of the Ps2 but plz trust me when i say burning at x2 or x4 will have the most success rate. You also have to remember the laser in the Ps2 is based on technology over 5 years old.

edit: x16 = 21.09 MB/s read rate, as far as i know the ps2 can only read at a max of 11mb/s

Isn't the 2x-4x-8x-16x just how fast your burner puts the data onto the disk, not how fast a reader will read the data put on the disk? So it doesn't really matter if you burn at higher speeds? I burn at 8x and have had no problems with any ps2 game backups, and that's about 30 games. Is this talk of lower burn speeds = better just rumor? At 8x I've never failed burning a disk and having it work perfectly throughout.

Yeah your right but remember the faster the speed the less reliable, guess it depends on the laser version, the media and the game that's been backed up, i've had a few games that would only work when i burned at x8 (gta:SA) but other games just don't work when burned at x8. I tend to find x4 works great as do alot of people but every1 has there own speed, x16 may just be too much for Ps2, speed is a big factor.
