Make sure the hdd is firmly connected to the network adaptor and also make sure none of the pins got bent when it fell.

Hello I was wondering if you ever found out what was wrong with your ps2 because the exact same thing happened to me it fell and when I turned it back on it said no hardware was found!! I know it's not the adapter or the HD because I tested them on another ps2 so I have no idea what it could be if anyone knows of any ideas of what could be wrong please reply.

Have you guys checked your switchers and put them to Master Mode. When first got a HDD i had to switch mine to master mode out of slave. Just go to www.hdadvance.com for more info it helps out alot. The wiggling of the network adapter is normal cus most of them are old. And if all that dont work then just make sure everything is tight Lol.
