Hi. Sorry if this has been asked before but i didn't find much info in how to do it.
Is it possible to boot ps1 backups using Gameshark lite(cd only)? If it is, How is it done?
Thanks.

I just recently got the GS Lite because breaker pro was acting up on my v 7 ps2. I've never used it on my v 12 but I imagine the method and result would be the same. just start game without codes , then when the screen tells you to open the lid swap GS lite for your ps1 backup (without pressing the eject button)press X and the game should boot after a breif black screen. I've even booted the IMBnes with Game Shark Lite.

yep the slide card trick... but for the slim model I used the slim tools A and B I didn't use tool C because - it was difficult to install and - I didn't like playing with the lid open so I used tape on the sensor. Then I cut a little tiny peice off of the latch so it still looked normal when I closed it. As for the GS Lite...well, the only games that I haven't got to work were Resident evil 1,2 and 3 but I suspect that's because I used Memorex CDs (crappy media). of course they booted with Breaker Pro on my slim. Overall though I think the Game Shark is just a cheaper alternative to breaker pro. I'm in the United States where it's hard to get any kind of boot disc without ordering it by mail. But from what I've read on these forums the newer versions of GS (1and 2) don't stop spinning so I don't think you can use them for boot discs.
best regards

So PS2 gameshark v4 won't work?

I read in another thread versions earlier than 5 work, but in a few other threads, it says only Gameshark Lite?
