i just installed a DMS4 lite chip on my V7 ps2, i admit i didnt do the best soldering job, but now my ps2 wont even power on, is this a problem with the soldering on the main board, or is it something else? (i already double checked the power connections to the main board)

well did you check to see if any wires crossed when you were done?
bc if you turn it on with crossed wires your ps2 is dead

it happened to a friend of mine bc i know i don't have any soldering skills so i just kinda just went with the fliptop and swap magic

Hi
Recheck all your connections and make sure the wires are all going where they should be, try removing the chip and see if it boots, if it does try reinstalling again now you have a bit of experience. If it doesnt boot on try claening up your solder spots with solder map. All mighten be lost yet
