You use the same info available in god of wars. Need DVD Decrypter, ultraiso and cdvdgen are the programs you need. Then you have to merge them.

hey guys
i successfully backed up F4
i had to rebuild the game but it worked...
first i used isobuster to extract the data from the iso.
then used cd/dvdgen..put the files back in the same order as it was in isobuster..(ull see what i mean)
then click record...it should save as an .iml file..
name is f4 or smthn...and then download iml2iso tool by gnie
it should b available on www.alucard.cc
get that and then create ur iso from the iml file...
and thats it..burn in with ur favourite burning program...i burned it on a DVD+R at 4x...but i reccoment DVD-R and a lower burning speed..all the games i have backed up have been at 4x..
but ya...it worked great...leme knw how it goes
goodluck

By the way, I used this method for UK PAL version of Fantastic four and the backup plays perfectly.

Ok, I finally got it too work on ps2 v.7. So i will explain how I did it! I am also Using Maxell 8x DVD+R cause -R wont work for me on my ps2 ver7.
I also am using SM 3.3 with this! Works great for me!
1. DVD Decrypter
- MODE
- read
2. ISOBuster v 1.7
- File
- Open Image File
- Find your .mds file and select it
- highlight all the files
- right click and extract file (I suggest making a new folder - F4)
3. CD_DVD-ROM Generator 1.20
- Create New Project
- DVD-ROM Master Disc
- Drag all files that you just did in the same order as it was in ISOBuster
DATA
MODULES
SLUS20615
SYSTEM
They should be in this order! (I believe?)
- Click Volume Button
- Disc Name: SLUS 20615
- Producer Name: PLAYSTATION
- License Area: USA
- Click Rec
- Error: ok
- Error: ok
- File: Export Image
- Save it in your Folder you made earlier: Name It F4
3. Download gdvd4-iml2iso
- Click ... to browse for file (.iml)
- Click Start
- BAM F4.ISO
4. Now you have an ISO about 3.7 gigs, some say use Nero, but my Nero wont do anything above 2.0 gigs. So I used
DVD Decrypter.
- Open DVD Decrypt
- Write: Find your F4.ISO
- Burn 2x

ArthurA ... when you say click and drag the list from ISO buster to CDVDGEN in the same order i tried that and it won't let me drag the files. it just comes up with a black cirle with a line through it and doesn't let me move it.

no its not
its just over the treshold for the TOC on swapmagic, thats why it requires rebuilding, and you cant use Nero to rebuild the image as it contains a single file over 2 gb,
thats why you need to use cd/dvd gen

on the tutorial that you linked there's a part where it tells you to type in the games ID on CDVDGEN, in the tutorial it's a SLUS file the game i'm trying to back up doesn't have a SLUS file, it's also a PC game does this make any difference, if not how do you find the ID for the game.
