Can someone please tell me if there is a way to test a downloaded game before it is burned? the ps2 doesnt take RW discs so the only way i know of is buring it and hoping for the best. surely there must be something to look for or a program that will tell you it will work before you waste a disc. i know what to look for in dvd films and i always test them on a RW disc first. is there a way i can do that with PS2 games?
well generally if you pop backup dvd into your drive and it autoloads with the discs contents that will tell you its a good burn, now whether your ps2 can read that media type is another story ..
But you'r still burning it onto a disc and there is a chance that you would have wasted a disk =/
Ok, what you need is a program called Daemon Tools, you can load up the ISO onto the virtual drive (which is installed along with Daemon Tools) , this
acts like a CD/DVD drive without actually having to need a disk, it boots up the ISO as if it were a normal inserted burnt-to disk, so load up the ISO onto the virtual drive with Daemon Tools, and if all the game files show up properly, then chances are it was a successful burn, but make sure you are burning at a slow supported speed on GOOD QUALITY media, (Ritek, Verbatim, TDK etc.) and you should get good results.
