What can i do with a soft Modded Xbox?

Which is better a soft mod or a mod chip? Which mod chip is the best I'm going to get 1 but I want the best 1 out there. If I do softmod my xbox what can I do with it? Any help would be wonderful I'm new and ready to get my hands dirty. I've already got my 360 reserved so it time to open up my old box and see what I can get into.

A softmodded Xbox can do basically everything a chipped Xbox can do.

Here are my suggestions for chips:

1) Xecuter 3
2) Xecuter 2.6
3) Xenium Ice
4) Xenium S.P.Ice
5) DuoX 2
