Nearlly just about all of my ps2 CD's will not back up properly. I copy it as an iso and it burns fine but wont load in the console. Games like Madagascar, The sum of all Fears ect... why wont these games work? I have even tried using the patching method with DVD scan lite. I'm sick of waisting discs. What should i do?
Well, we need more information. Things like: What brand of a burner do you have? What is your method of booting your backups? What blank media are you using? This info helps us both.
I have my ps2 modded, my brand of burner is pioneer 109, my blank media..well umm they are just TDK blank cd's and i use Ritek blank DVD's. Some ps2 cd based games work fine after backing up and some dont load at all. For example why doesnt Madagascar work when other cd games work fine?

I've had a problem like this before, except I have Swap Magic and it got to the title screen and no matter where you went from there it just froze. I looked on http://www.swapmagicfix.com and saw The Sum Of All Fears, that needs CDLoader, but you said you have a mod, you could try it anyways (or CDLoader V7 ALL if your PS2 is V7 or higher). I didn't see Madagascar there, but you could always try CDLoader. There's also CogSwapLoader, I loaded Way of the Samurai wtih CDLoader and it was kinda choppy, but with CogSwapLoader it worked fine.
Oh yeah, does your PS2 have an eject fix of some sort? I'm not in the know about mod chips lol. If you don't, you should buy the slide tool, it's very cheap. Or you can use an afro pick type of thing to do it, I use to do that in my early days before the slide tool lol.
