i am new to burning ps2 discs but while reading another thread that was talking about original copies being pressed not burnt why can´t you use winzip to copress the files on to a dvd-rom? please tell me if this is possible because my ps2 is unavailable for the next month for and if pausible can someone with an unmodded ps2 try it

I think I understand what your saying but there's no way it would work, trust me Ive been modding for 2+yrs now.

wouldn't work because the sectors that the PS2 need to recognize the Disc as being an Original are pressed into the disc itself.. and a normal DVDR Drive cannot read these sectors. therefore the sectors needed can't be copied or burnt...

you could buy a dvd press and then probably not have to worry about modding a ps2.

cant suggest any mods but swapmagic 3.6 might be another (and cheaper)option
