any way i can fix this i have a spider chip coming in the mail and it should be here today or tomarrow?

Well, error 16 is a dashboard problem.

Install the spider chip as that should clear up your problem.

After you install your Spider chip, check out the site below as it will help you out...

ill just unlock the harddrive with the chip and bring it back to factory setting on the computer thnx for the link anyways though

Well, good luck w/ your spider chip install! Make sure to flash it w/ the correct bios! If you can't get your chip working, don't threat, as you are one of many that could never get this chip working.

Here is a quote from a very high ranked member on the Xbox-Scene forums

"If you have installed a spiderchip only to see it FRAG ( Flash Red And Green ) you are not alone. Many spiderchips fail as soon as they are installed , others work at first and then fail ( FRAG ) later on because the connection to the LPC is not solid. There are 2 ways to fix this problem one is to solder the bugger in and the other is to squeeze the chip in tightly under the dvd-rom drive. Soldering is the best method and the most reliable but the fact that you got a solderless chip means you can not solder or do not wish to , so i have an alternate Squeeze method. "
