I looked around and never found this exact problem on here anywhere.

I have an EvoX Mod in my Xbox. the power switch is working wierd. Ofcourse I never did the mod myself, my hands skake to badly to be a soldering expert. Anyway, it doesn't power on properly. you hit the button and it won't come on. The tray button goes solid green but won't come on screen. If I time the way I hit the button properly it will boot up properly. Otherwise I'm in limbo.

Anyone else have the problem? Any suggestions?

Not sure about the EvoX

EvoX is a dashboard, not a modchip.

Sounds like you have a coma Xbox problem...

I have one question, what ver Xbox do you have?

Crap, I was hoping you would have a 1.0 or 1.1, but oh well.

Anyways...

First, I would make sure that the modchip is still installed 100% correctly.

It sounds like you could have a corrupted bios(console coma). However, your video chip may be going bad also.

I'm not sure what I can really tell ya. I guess you could try a new AV cord to see if that works. Or you could try powering the Xbox on w/ the eject button. What kind of chip do you have?

Atleast you can still get it to work. If it ever craps out on you I would just get a new mobo and modchip.
