i feel this is just propaganda on the -r lobby, they say only philips support the +r format but this is untrue Dell, Hewlett-Packard Company, MCC/Verbatim, Philips Electronics, Ricoh Company Ltd., Sony Corporation, Thomson multimedia Yamaha Corporation and microsoft have thrown there weight behind it now that is a very big collection of large influentual companies.
people also compare this issue to vhs and betamax this is also flawed because sony were the only interested party into betamax that is not the case this time.also both +r and -r play on the same players that was'nt the case for vidio tape,ie if you bought a vhs you could'nt play a betamax. and finally +r is just far better quality more reliable and supports packet writing to boot.
