Problems with Motorolla DVR freezing up?

anyone else here happen to have a Motorolla DVR? my cable company uses them and the problem i have is i'll change channels sometimes and it will just freeze, shut off, then come back on. then it takes about an hour for the tv listings to come back fully. i've only have cable for about 1 and 1/2 months. the first box they gave me was new and had the problem, so they replaced it with another new box and it's still doing it. sometimes it happens while i'm flipping through channels, sometimes when i change the channel one time. there's no pattern to it. i have it in a space in my entertainment venter where it's alone and has a good amount of ventilation.
