Ok, here is the scoop. I am using Adobe Premiere Pro 1.5 and the issue is that last 2 projects I have done have playback issues on some dvd players. It plays back fine on my computer and my home system dvd player, but I have found many other home dvd players that make it seem blurry or ghosting.

I don't know much about what the encoding options due. But I have tried a few. NTSC Progressive 4x3 High Quality 7mb CBR 1 Pass was what I chose last. I also played with the bit rate settings at 7 (default) and tried 9 as well.

If anyone has suggestions or links to read it would be very appreciative.

thanks,

- jaws

Don't use Progressive, stick with interlaced to playback on a TV.
Start with bottom field first, and if the problem persists, change to top field first.

Black holes are where God divided by zero...
Cheers, Jim
