can you format a ps2 hd to work on pc

if you're using windows xp:
plug the hdd into the pc. then turn on pc. (obviously)
right-click 'my computer' then click 'manage'
near the bottom of the list on the left you should click 'disk management'
after that you should see a list of the hdds installed into the pc.
you SHOULD see the ps2 hdd.
you should right click on the white-space of the hdd and delete partition or remove partition until it says unallocated.
then format for pc.
after XXX amount of minutes your hdd should be formatted for pc.
