Having problem with my Samsung V6400 DVD/VCR COMBO **PLEASE HELP!!**

I am having a problem with my Samsung DVD/VCR V6400 Combo. When in DVD mode, the color on the screen is fine, almost perfect, but in VCR mode, the color is all wonky, like it's brighter than it should be and adjusting the color doesnt help. Does the type of tv (White-Westinghouse) or the fact that I am using an RF modulator have anything to do with it?

Also, why can't I watch tv in tv mode?
