Ok I have a version 1.0 xbox and I put the wire into the D0 point but like if I were to try and take my xbox to my freinds house or something the wire comes out of the D0 point is there a way to keep it in there? Possible like tape it down with electrical tape or something else?

haha, solder is about 100x stronger than any kind of tape.

If you soldered it correctly, you will have no problems w/ it coming off. If it does, simply resolder it.

Here is how you do a stellar solder job on the D0 point and every other point you need to hit...

1) Put some solder on the D0 pad on your Xbox motherboard.

2) Put some solder on the end of your wire you are soldering to the D0 point.

3) Put the wire on the D0, and touch it w/ the solder gun. They should bond together. Now that connection will be unbreakable!

Ok thanks alot man. But as of right now I just broke my solderless piece... and a very little piece came off my motherboard do you think it would make that much of a difference its a very small brown thing with silver on the end its like a rectangular box thing very small, think it would do anything and where do I solder the mod chip down and stuff I have a Xenium ICE.

Well, check out this Xenium guide, http://www.teamxodus.com/pictures/Manuals/iceguide.pdf

From what your describing I think you pulled off a resister. It may or may not make a difference, but I guess the only way to see if it did is to boot up your Xbox and see if it works.

Make sure to use nothing more than a 15 watt soldering iron if you decide to solder. And if you have a ver 1.6, you will need to rebuild the LAD points to the pinheader.

I know that that Xenium guide pretty much sucks, but it's the only thing they got.
