I am trying to make a back up of legally blonde.
The problems that I am having are, the movie plays on my computers DVD to a certain point and starts to skip. I try to rip and it gives me errors. ASPI Command Error !
I can play the DVD on my home tv DVD player, and it works fine.
This is my second copy of the DVD I thought there was something wrong with the disk.
So I think that maybe something is wrong with the DVD drive well I watched and ripped a different movie with no problem.
I just don't get it.
I am running Win XP and Win Me. I have tried the process in both OS and got the same results.
Any Ideas would really be appreciated.

You mean ripping (SmartRipper or similiar) process stops when you try to rip the VOBs out of the DVD to your HDD and gives you an ASPI error?

yes,
It happens during DVD Decrypter,Smart Ripper,CladDVDXp, Dod Speed ripper.

The rip slows to a crawl then the info stops and then the error.

Playing it on the computer it skips and then locks up. playing it on my house DVD Player it is fine.

I can rip 2 of 4 vob's this happens on vob 3 about 1/2 way in and vob 4 in the beginning.

I tried both wide screen and standard screen and the same thing happens with both sets of vob files as they rips.

RandyRB, did you ever find the resolution to your problem? I am having the same problem with certain movies too.
