PS1 backups won't go

Greetings,

I have a V9 PS2 with a DMS4 EZI Pro running Toxic .3 . There's a Romeo in there too.

None of my PS1 backups seem to play (I've got 3 on hand). I get a few seconds of disc seek, then nothing.

I've burnt with Nero, Alcohol 120% and DVD Decrypter. I've tried different burn speeds. I've used 3 different PCs for the burn station. I've tried burning an obvious CD image to DVD, and of course that failed :-> In all I've got about a dozen coasters.

DVD game backups and originals play fine. So do DVD movies. I have Lego Star Wars ripped down to CD and it plays fine, too. Interestingly, an original PS1 game didn't play when I tried it.

What should I be doing to get these PS1 games to fly?
