Go to http://modthatcube.pxn-os.com/main.htm
-> Modchip -> Softmod

You will need an SDcard adapter to play and a BBA to copy.

An SD card is a card which is use in many type of digital camera and Personal Digital Assistant. You can store data on it. You can write on it wiht a PC using a SD card reader.

A SD card adaptor for the game cube is exactely what its name says: an adaptor so you can plug an SD card in the gamecube.

BBA: Broad Band Adapter, this is the official nintendo name for the network adapter of the game cube you have to purchase separately.

And no, none of that involve a modchip or opening your gamecube. However it might cost you more than $50.

Also, go and visit the website I gave you, it will help you understanding how things work.

The gamecube is booted with Action Replay and the the SDLoad program on the SD card in the SD card adapter in the gamecube.

You dont' use the SDcard to store games, you use it to store SDLoad and homebrew applications.

When the gamecube is booted with SDLoad, you can execute any homebrew application.

Some application enables you to put an original game in the gamecube and "stream" the game image to a computer using the BBA. Because a normal DVD drive can't read gamecube disk, this is the only way to backup a game.
Some applications enable you the boot backup game (image burnt on a mini DVD). However, media compatibility is an issue, and this may require you to ajust the potentiometer of your gamecube drive (and don't ask what this means, it is all explain in the site I gave you in my earlier post)
Some other applications enable you to "stream" a game stored on a computer to the gamecube: in practice you play your game through the BBA.

And I am telling you in advance: none of this is trivial, you will need some tecknology skills. It is certainly more difficult than just buying and installing a Qoob modchip.

I am not going to answer any more of your questions until you prove you've done your own research on the matter. And for the 4th time: go and read the web site I gave you.
